Diamond Gold Hotel is a luxury riverside retreat located along the Nam Song River in Vang Vieng, Laos. Surrounded by dramatic limestone mountains and calm water, the hotel embraces its natural setting by orienting all guest rooms toward the landscape. The location offers guests direct visual access to river reflections and sunset views, making nature an integral part of the experience.
The hotel’s masterplan centers around a “Golden Water Court,” a reflecting pool that connects two guestroom wings while offering visual relief and calmness. Key public areas—such as the lobby, restaurant, and sky bar—are elevated to maximize panoramic views, while circulation paths are designed to flow naturally around the central courtyard, separating private and public zones.
The façade uses a rhythmic composition of vertical timber fins and deep balconies to frame each room as a viewing box. The repetition of framed openings creates a dynamic play of light and shadow throughout the day. The architectural language is minimalist yet bold, designed to complement the local context without overpowering it.
Material choices reflect natural warmth and simplicity: timber, local stone, full-height glazing, and gold-toned accents. Interior spaces use soft earth tones and filtered natural light to create a sense of calm and privacy. Diamond Gold Hotel becomes more than just a place to stay—it is a peaceful sanctuary that merges geometry, light, and landscape into a unified experience.
